Naturally, ten Haaft has equipped your newly purchased Oyster\u00ae Connect with the latest software as of the production date. However, it is strongly recommended that you perform a software update immediately after the initial setup.<\/p>\n<p>Current Version of Oyster Connect: (V2.1.36 - 19.08.2024\r\n)<\/p>\n<p>Please follow these steps to perform the software update:<\/p>\n<p>The Oyster\u00ae Connect must already be connected to the internet via LTE or Wi-Fi. Please refer to the enclosed booklet &#8220;Oyster CONNECT \u2013 Extended Operating Instructions&#8221;, pages 6 \u2013 13, for details.<\/p>\n<p>Note: The size of the update file is approximately 100MB. It is therefore recommended to be connected via Wi-Fi rather than LTE to avoid unnecessary data usage on your LTE plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 1: Start the update via button press on the Indoor Unit<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>About 10 minutes after turning on the system, the Oyster\u00ae Connect will automatically check if a software update is available.<\/li>\n<li>If an update is available, this will be indicated by the steady illumination of LED4 (orange\/amber).<\/li>\n<li>In this case, the software update can be easily started by holding down the &#8220;i&#8221; button on the front of the Indoor Unit for 10 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>The update process will then begin automatically and will also be completed automatically after about 5 \u2013 10 minutes, with a system restart. During this process, the LEDs on the front of the Indoor Unit will display a special lighting pattern.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method 2: Start the update via the Oyster\u00ae Connect configuration webpage<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Access the configuration webpage at <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_new\" href=\"http:\/\/oyster.connect\">http:\/\/oyster.connect<\/a> or <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_new\" href=\"http:\/\/192.168.240.1\">http:\/\/192.168.240.1<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the &#8220;System Setup&#8221; tab.<\/li>\n<li>Log in with the default username &#8220;oyster&#8221; and password &#8220;connect.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Click the [Start Update Now] button.<\/li>\n<li>The Oyster\u00ae Connect will now check the ten Haaft Update Server for the availability of newer software.<\/li>\n<li>If your installed software is already up-to-date, the message &#8220;The local version is latest&#8221; will appear, and no download will occur.<\/li>\n<li>If newer software is available, the Oyster\u00ae Connect will automatically begin downloading the update file from the server. You do not need to do anything further!<\/li>\n<li>During the installation of the new software, the LEDs on the front of the Indoor Unit will display a special blinking pattern. Nat\u00fcrlich hat ten Haaft Ihrer frisch erworbenen Oyster\u00ae Connect die zum Produktionsdatum neueste Software mitgegeben.\nDennoch empfiehlt es sich auf jeden Fall direkt nach der Erstinbetriebnahme ein Software-Update durchzuf\u00fchren.\n\n<strong>Bei diesem ersten Software-Update empfiehlt es sich noch einen extra Schritt zu machen, welcher nur dieses erste Mal erforderlich ist: Einen Reset auf Werkseinstellung. <\/strong>\n\nDadurch wird sichergestellt, dass auch die Benutzer-Dateien aktualisiert werden, welche bei einem normalen Update absichtlich nicht angefasst werden. Dies dient der Sicherstellung der reibungslosen Funktion, da dann alle Bestandteile der Software auf dem neuesten Stand sind.\n\nSie k\u00f6nnen diesen Reset auch jederzeit nachtr\u00e4glich durchf\u00fchren. Allerdings werden dadurch alle von Ihnen gegebenenfalls schon ver\u00e4nderten Indoor WLAN-Passworte und sonstigen Einstelllungen der Oyster\u00ae Connect auf Werkseinstellung zur\u00fcckgesetzt!\n\n&nbsp;\n\nF\u00fchren Sie folgende Schritte f\u00fcr das Software-Update durch:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Die Oyster\u00ae Connect muss \u00fcber LTE oder WLAN mit dem Internet verbunden sein.\n<em>Hinweis: Die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe der Update-Datei betr\u00e4gt ca. 100MB.
