The 85 cm antenna dish of the Oyster® system provides TV and radio programmes throughout Europe, in Northern Africa and the Middle East. The innovative swivel-head technology ensures extremely reduced power consumption, lower space requirement and optimised mechanical load.
The centerpiece of the satellite antenna is the LNB, which bundles and processes the satellite signals. According to your individual needs , this high performance module is available in different variants. For example, if you want to use a second receiver, e.g. in the sleeper compartment. The TWIN-LNB allows two different programmes to be viewed using a second receiver.
For optimal reception at the limits of the reception ranges in South-Western and South-Eastern regions, the LNB may have to be rotated in order to compensate the polarisation deviation - or SKEW angle - caused by the earth’s curvature.
Simple operation of your choice
With the Vision variant, communication with the FeatureBox takes place via the control panel, with the Premium model you can use the remote control of the TV set. Or just use the ten Haaft®app to control the system via your smartphone. You can switch the antenna on and off, change to a different satellite or view the system settings from outside the vehicle.
The FeatureBox not only offers more options than any of the previous controllers, it also boasts a sleeker design.
Dimensions FeatureBox (W x H x D): 19,5 x 2 x 11,6 cm
Dimensions without mounting frame (W x H x D): 11,8 x 7,1 x 0,8 cm
Dimensions with mounting frame (W x H x D): 12 x 7,3 x 1,9 cm
The easy to use control panel should be located in a more accessible spot. A single button push raises the dish to the last reception point (LEM). If it doesn‘t receive a signal at this point, it begins a fully automatic search.
One cable is enough
When we talk about a "single-cable solution", we actually mean it. There is no second cable for power supply. The only cable that is needed is a special coaxial cable that conducts all currents and signals required for control, power supply and signal transmission to the top unit. As such, vehicle installation requires only minimal intervention.
A single pass-through is enough.
For the TWIN option, a second coaxial cable is used.
Mounting plate 50 x 37 cm
All ten Haaft antennas are installed on anodized aluminum mounting plates. As these mounting plates are bonded to the roof using a special adhesive, additional boltholes in the outer vehicle skin are not necessary. There are four studs on the mounting plate to where the system is fastened with four cap nuts. This makes it easy to remove the system from the roof for potential repair work – or when every inch in your garage or carport counts.
